Everybody has visited the fortress, but what do we actually know about it? Time to deepen our knowledge about the first major building in St. Petersburg.
During this tour we will see the oldest part of St. Petersburg - Peter and Paul Fortress. You will understand why the city was founded there and why the fortress was turned into the most severe political prison in Russia. We will visit the burial place of the Romanov dynasty – the Peter and Paul cathedral and see the weirdest (or the most modern) monument to Peter the Great. At 12:00 we all witness a canon shot from the Naryshkin bastion.
