What can be more typically Russian than a banya? This ancient bathhouse tradition is one of the most well-known symbols of the nation. The favorite venue of Lenin and Dostoevsky, the Yamskie bathhouse is among St. Petersburg’s most historic and popular places for a steam.
We will not rent a private banya, but will get the real Russian experience in a common bathhouse. Hopefully there will be some old babushka’s who will snarl us some useful comments how to properly behave in the bathhouse.
