Social Activities

IWC organizes social activities for its members and charity fund-raising events for the charities it supports.

Foodie Fun

MASTER COOKING CLASS

An international group sharing tasty foods from their home country. Look for more details in the weekly bulletin.

Coffee, Lunch & Dinner Meetups

Watch the weekly schedule and sign up to gather at various restaurants around the city.

Arts & Entertainment

Cultural Tours

Tours are arranged to various museums around the city. Tours mostly have an English language guide, but usually have a limit of people depending on the museum.

Photo Group

No particular skill or camera needed, just an interest to discover new angles of this very photogenic city and share with others your particular point of view. We meet once a month, on the mid-month Friday but we can also accommodate extra dates depending on the demand of the group members.

CHOIR 'THE SINGING CATHERINAS'

There’s interest but not enough people! If you’d like to get this group going again, contact us!

We use to meet once a week and sing a variety of songs, including jazz, folk, pop and classical. We also sing in all languages! We are not at all professional, so if you enjoy singing, even if you think you do not sing very well, come and join us.

Book Club

We meet every last Friday of the month in the morning. We read a wide range of books from a wide range of countries. We choose books 6 months in advance so you have plenty of time to order them. Come and join the Book Club for interesting discussions and lots of fun!

Craft Group

We meet every other Monday from 10am to 1pm on a set calendar.

We design, develop and produce our own ideas. Our handmade items are sold at IWC meetings and at the Winter Bazaar. The money goes toward the local charities supported by the IWC.

Our group is run like a small company, that is why it doesn't matter if you are a skilled crafter or not. We need all kinds of skills: marketing, communication, creators, storage materials responsible, administration...

You will meet new people and make friends, have a chat in different languages, learn skills from others or share your expertise while having tea-coffee and biscuits.

For Kids

Baby and Toddler Group

This is a playgroup for young children, 0-5 years and their accompanying siblings, and just as much for mums needing a chat and a coffee. All are welcome!

Kids Dance and Ballet class

We welcome new members with or without experience. These classes are primarily about having fun and building confidence while learning some classical ballet techniques as well as movement and rhythm to music. Our teacher Mayumi is a professional dancer and speaks English, Spanish, Russian & Japanese. We usually have a super cute little performance at the end of June and December and parents are always very impressed to see what the little ones have learned!

Health and Fitness

Ballet

We meet once a week, and start with 30min of stretching, followed by some classical ballet. All levels are welcome to join.

Pilates - 'Shape Up' and 'Functional Training'

Shape your body – improve your posture!

The workout is based on Stott Pilates – the leading method in Pilates.  Shape Up also works with some Power elements as well as Yoga and Stretching elements.

We meet on Mondays. No experience necessary, all levels of experience and fitness are welcome!
