From Children to Children 2010
The
charitable event “From Children To Children” which took place on
Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Grand Hotel Europe, St. Petersburg was a great
success. The event was organized in cooperation with Milost Foundation and the
IWC of St. Petersburg.
In total
there were about 300 guests who joined us to celebrate Maslenitsa and help
raise money for the Newborn Department of Hospital #38 in Pushkin. The benefit kicked off with games and
children's activities as well as blinis and a fashion show of children's
clothing. In addition there was an
auction, which included a Matt Lamb painting, a Murano glass sculpture and many
other prizes for all ages. We had some very special guests join us at the
event; children from the Children’s Village SOS in Pushkin also attended the
event and participated in the many activities. The benefit was also attended by
the media; portions of a news broadcast on the event even made it on to U-Tube!
With the help
and support of many companies, individuals and volunteers, we were able to
underwrite the event. All proceeds went directly towards the purchase of
medical equipment for the newborn department of Hospital #38. Installation of this equipment will be
completed shortly.
We would like
to take the opportunity to thank all those who supported this event; without
your help none of this could have been possible.
